WEDDING IN; WELLINGTON
Miss Jean Annand-Srnith, only daughter of Mi', and Mrs. John AnnandSmith, Khandallah, was married to Sergeant Pilot Guy Richard Youngs, son of Mr.'and Mrs.: G. F. Youngs, of Kharidallah, at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul dri Wednesday, evening. Canon D. J. Davies, assisted by the Rev. W. J. Durrad, performed the ceremony. The: bridegroom, who' had just returned from active service in the Pacific area, had as hi& best man Flight Lieutenant John Gibson, D.F.C., of Auckland. Miss Gwyneth Jones, Wadestown, was bridesmaid; -
Tlie bride, - who was given in marriage by her father,' wore a gown of • cream embroidered ■ georgette, mounted on taffeta, made with long sleeves, and a flowing "train. Her tulle veilj' which was -very long, was held to her, head with cream velvet lilies and her shower bouquet was composed of cream flowers.- Turquoise blue, corded taffeta was worn;by the bridesmaid. Her shoulder-length veil was also held to her head with cream velvet lilies, and she wore cream mittens and carried a bouquet to tone with her gown. The reception was held .at;the Eng-lish-speaking Union Rooms, There were. 150 guests, and they were received by Mrs. Annand-Smith and Mrs. G. F.-Youngs. For travelling'the bride wore a hyacinth blue ensemble and a cream fox .fur.. . {
