SHIPS' A-A TALLY

OVER 1000 ENEMY PLANES LONDON, July 8,

The Admiralty announces that during three and a quarter years of war air attacks on our ships have resulted in more than 1000 aircraft having been destroyed by antiaircraft fire from the ships or by aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm. In addition, naval ships have probably destroyed more than 300 others and damaged nearly 600. The Admiralty points out that though enemy air activity against our ships has been reduced in recent months the rate of destruction of Axis plnnes his continued to increase
