ADDITIONAL CANDIDATES

A further list of candidates for the General Election, sponsored by the People's Movement, has been officially issued, as follows: — Hauraki.—H. T. Head. Mr. Head is a farmer, president of the Home Services Association. He served in the last war, and was wounded in France at the age of seventeen. Dunedin.—W. J. Winefield. Mr. Wine field is managing director of H. C. Campbell, Ltd., Dunedin, chairman of the Dunedin and Otago Goods Transport Control, president of the Otago Commercial Transport Association, an executive member of the Otago Importers' and Shippers' Association, and a member of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce. He has a son serving overseas in the Air Force.

Riccarton.—H. S. S. Kyle. M.P. Mr. Kyle is the present Independent member for Riccarton, and is Mayor of the Borough. Oamaru.—G. P. Cuttriss. Mr. Cuttriss, an Oamaru business man, is a returned soldier and served in both the New Zealand and the Australian Forces. He is the author of "Over the Top" and "Another Ten Years," and is actively interested in rehabilitation of returned men. He is a gifted public speaker. Lyttelton —H- Bliss. Mr. Bliss is a dairy farmer at Heathcote. He has been prominently associated with most primary production organisations in Canterbury- and inaugurated the first herd-testing movement in the province He has also had local body experience He is the father of Major H Bliss of the 2nd N.Z.E.F.. now a prisoner of war.
