POLAND AND PEACE
SIKORSKI ON FUTURE
LONDON, Jul> 2. The Polish Piume Minister and Commander in Chief, General Sikorski, talked to journalist^ in Cairo today about Ills ideas f6r the political future of Europe. He &aid that the best basis for the future peace was a federated Europe with Poland and Czechoslovakia occupying dominant positions in a central bloc. He thought that the Scandinavian countries would form a northern bloc, and probably Greece and Yugoslavia would form a southern bloc. It Was a cold fact that small nations could not defend themselves, he said; but a federation could check aggression and combine the resources of all peaceloving peoples for defence against an aggressor. He emphasised that the problem of East Prussia would have to be settled once and for all. He declared that the basts of Poland's good relations with Russia had already been clearly defined by. the agreement which he had entered into with Stalin in 1941. It was a charter for the future relations between the two countries;
