CLUB FOR THE BLIND
The eighth annual meeting of the Social; Club for the Blind was;held on Wedne-sday. at the club rooms,, 37 Dixon Street. .'. Mr. ;B. Sutherland was re-elected-patron, and Mrs. Knox Gilmer .president The annual report and balance-sheet were read, and the president, in her remarks congratulated the' clu,b on the success of the year's activities, both socially and financially. The high light of the year was the refui-nishing of the club, lounge, made possible: by proceeds from a,- cpncei-t sponsored by 2ZB. and Theatre Management, Ltd.'.'A vote- of thanks was passed .to all those who had assisted the club,: either by donations ,or help, during the,year.* . ■ r .
