difficulty in getting pots. Grease wai kept off the wooden floor by sawdust, .' and the walls were, washed-whea dirty and were painted frequently. The meat bench was scrubbed twice a day t and his instructions were that the freezer must be washed every day.
Fresh meat was bought every day, and the milk containers referred to were capped bottles of cream. The yard bench was used only for oysters, othei fish being cut inside on a special board. The oyster bench was posed after use. He left the cleaning of the lavatories to the staff. Many times he had been told by members of the -- staff to keep his job—they just did , things when they wanted to do them, / and he and his wife had to carry on as best they could. *'
