EVACUATION PLANS
BERLIN IN THE AUTUMN
LONDON, June 30.
Children and also women who are not working in the war industires will be evacuated from. Berlin in the autumn, 'according to private infromation which has reached the "New York Times" correspondent in Stockholm. The German authorities fear that the longer nights will bring greater air raids, and they have already begun the necessary preliminaries for evacuation.
The German newspaper "Schwarzes Korps" describes the Anglo-American air offensive against the Rhineland and the Ruhr as a "habitation blockade." It argues. that the bomb blockade is supplementing the naval blockade, which is aimed at the starvation of Germany. A person who is roofless is rendered useless as ««Tectively as a person who is starving. The Anglo-American raids aim to put the areas round the industrial centres out of action.
