EVANS BAY MISHAP
Tp add to the general difficulty over power shortage, a. mishap at Evans Bay power station last evening has put out of commission a generating unit of 6000 kilowatts. Though favourable weatherr-from the powder engineer's point of view—in recent weeks has lifted lake levels to a better margin of water supply for hydro power, the steam stations have still been steadily called upon and careful economy has been essential. The Evans Bay mishap makes greater the need for economy by every consumer. •The general manager of the City Electricity Department, Mr. L. B.
