POLISH RETRIBUTION
NO PITY FOR GERMANS
LONDON, June 28,
Polish troops were eager to measure themselves against Poland's ancient enemy, said the Polish Prime Minister, General Sikorski, in a broadcast over Beirut radio after a tour of the Polish army in the Middle East.
"Poland," he said, "is again passing through a veritable hell, and the bestial mui'ders of hundreds of Poles in the last few weeks will not be forgotten. The Germans who are wallowing in a sea of blood cannot count on pity when the hour of retribution comes,"
Referring to the recent disruption of Russian-Polish relations, General Sikorski said: "I know that the latest developments have created anxiety, and therefore I assure you there will not be the division of Europe into spheres of interest against the will of interested parties."
