PATRIOTIC FUNDS

The Wellington Metropolitan Patriotic Committee yesterday received advice of a number of additional contributions to its funds. They included the 29th instalment from the Wellington P. and T. staff, of £45, making a total to date £1556; Winstone, Ltd., £400 to the Wellington fund and £100 to the Taumarunui fund; Wellington Cricket Association. £73 8s 3d; Paremata Soldiers' Social Committee, £28 for Prisoners of War Fund; Wellington Bowling Centre, further £14 for gift parcels; National Fund Board, £299 8s from Army sports meeting; and John Chambers and Son, £50.
