MISSING AT SEA
CREW OF R.N.Z.A.F. BOMBER
Five members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force who were the crew of a patrol bomber which is believed to have come down in the sea while on operations in the South Pacific on the night of June 27 were today reported missing on operations. They
Sergeant Michael James Horgan, Next-of-kin, sister, Mrs. B. Simpson, Farnham, Blenheim. Flight Sergeant George Ernest Billson. Wife, Mrs. M. B. Billson, c/o Mrs. Pearce, 239 Sawyers Arms Road, Harewood, Christchurch. Sergeant Albert Lewis Moss. Father, Mr. A. W. Moss, Box 54. Oamaru. Flying Officer Alistair Tanetoa Parata. Mother, Mrs. M. Parata, 564 Highgate, Maori Hill, Dunedin. Sergeant Egbert Brian Willis. Sister, Mrs. M. A. Wilson, 109 a Calabar Road, Wellington. The position of the aircraft some minutes before the landing was ascertained by signals and a comprehensive search was at once instituted, but so far no trace of the aircraft or personnel has been found.
