ZOOT SUIT CLASHES
PROTEST MADE IN MEXICO MEXICO CITY, June 26. Four hundred Mexican nationaluniversity students■ demonstrated for two'hours against the United States as a protest against the Los Angeles zoot suit clashes. The students booed Senor Ezequiei Padilla, Ambassador to Washington, ! and began to march on:-, the United I States Embassy, but police barred the approaches. The students hissed stores with American signs, applauded German signs, and jeered at Americans. Anti-Padilla groups are stated to [have played on the feelings of the students, but only 400 of 15,000 responded. . ' Mexicans were originally thought- to be responsible*for the Los Angeles incidents. .
