'VERY DISAPPOINTING'

HOSPITAL PROGRESS "The progress made upon all buildings, the 210-bed block, and the Hutt Hospital alike, is very disappointing indeed," said Mr. H. F. Toogood, chairman of the building committee of the Wellington Hospital Board last night. The carpenters were generally well ! ahead, he said, but .plumbers, electricians, and fibrous plaster workers were well behind. Of the 65 additional men the board had been promised on June 14 only about 20 had arrived. In spite of all that had been attempted, continued Mr. Toogood, the board had not been able to have expedited work that was a dire necessity, to' provide more hospital accommodation at the earliest possible date. The work was not being prosecuted 4 with the speed that the circumstances ' warranted.
