MELBOURNE, June 11. The Victorian State elections ai'e to be held tomorrow and are likely to be the quietest ever recorded. No vital issues are before the electors. Most of the candidates addressed few meetings and the public seem almost completely apathetic. There are 65 seats in the Legislative Assembly, 14 of which are uncontested. Only four of the seats in the Legislative Council will be contested 13 retiring members being unopposed. Thirty-seven Independents will go to the polls, which is easily a record for Victoria. , In the old Legislative Assembly the r,tate of the parties was: Country Party, 26 members; Labour, 21; United Australia Party, 16; Independents, two.
