DEFECTIVE BRAKES
As a result of a collision in which a cyclist was injured, Ernest Roy Senior, a motor-van driver, was charged before Mr. W. C. Harley, S.M., at Petone yesterday with driving without due care and attention and with having no warrant of fitness. Mr. Harley said it was evident that the cause of the collision was the failure of the van brakes and therefore a fine of £5 would be inflicted on the charge of having no warrant of fitness. On the other charge the defendant was convicted and discharged.
