Demand liabilities, or free deposits with the banks, for March, 1943, were reduced on those of February, by £1,890,643, and over the last six months they have varied (in round figures) as follows:—October, 1942. £66,017,000; November, £6,558.700; December, £70,919,000; January. 1943. £74,663,000: February, £79.030,000: and March. £77.139,000..
