RUGBY SEASON OPENING
' It is fitting that for the new Rugby season opening In Wellington tomorrow teams representing the Navy and the Army are to meet In one of the two senior competition matches at Athletic Park. In their teams are quite a number of well-known representative players, amongst whom are R. H. Ward (who played for New Zealand against the Springboks), B. T. Faire (Auckland), B. Vile and F. Mollier (Wellington) for. the Army, and M. A. Scandrett (Weat Coast), T.R. Webster (Otago), A. G.* Beard (Auckland), and W. K. Shirley (Southland). The range of talent Is wide, and the match should produce attractive football. Preceding this match there will be another senior match. Athletic v. Wellington, In which more newcomers to the game in Wellington will be in action along with others, Uke Taylor and Guiniven, who are already known here.
