ARMIES REGROUP

THE LULL IN RUSSIA

NAZI AIR ATTACKS

LONDON, March 29;

The lull in the land fighting in Russia continues as both sides regroup in readiness for the time when campaigning weather returns.

The Germans have not made any headway in their attempts to cross the upper reaches of the Donets, and both sides are pretty well bogged down in the mud.

The Germans have been using more bombers in an effort to disrupt Russian communications, but the Red Air Force and Russian anti-aircraft gunners are fighting off these attack's and have destroyed over 50 bombers in four days. On the Smolensk front there has been no major change, although the Russians have slightly improved their positions.
