FLYING OFFICER WILLIAMS
Flying Officer Angus Gerald ■Williams, E.N.Z.A.F., whose death on active service was announced' a few days ago, was one of the youngest New Zealand pilots ;to hold that rank. At the time of his death he was only 20 years of age, arid was an. instructor in England. He was a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Williams, of 55 Awarua Street,-Ngaio, and was educated : first at the Johnsonville Convent, and subsequently at St. Patrick's College. While at college he was well known as a football player, and was also a prefect. Flying Officer Williams joined the Air Force when he was 18 years of age, and received his commission in New Zealand before he . left for England about a year ago. Before joining the Air Force he was employed in advertising with the firm of J. Inglis Wright, Ltd.
