DEATH IN HOSPITAL
SIXTH KOiTERANGI VICTIM

George Sackville Ridley, aged 54, agricultural inspector in the Education Department, the sixth and only surviving victim of the Koiterangi shootings by Stanley Graham in October, 1941, died at 4.30 p.m. today in the Hokitika Hospital. He leaves a wife, one daughter, and one son, Lieutenant Ridley, who is serving overseas. Except for five weeks .in • Ghristchurch last Christmas, Mr. Ridley had been in hospital since the shgotjngs. In the opinion of Dr. R. F. Aitken, medical superintendent, his deajh, .was indirectly due to his wounds* - - :Mr. Ridley was able to get about and was progressing well till five week.s_.; ago when he relapsed. ; >
