EXCHANGES WITH JAPAN
(Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, Feb. 17. Asked in the House of Commons for information regarding prisoners of war in Japanese hands, Mr. Anthony Eden said the protecting Power had, at the request of the British Government, approached Japan for further exchanges and repatriatibns, particularly of women and children. No reply had yet been received. Mr. Eden added that the Government had noted with interest the Japanese Foreign Minister's statement expressing his Government's desire to negotiate further* exchanges.—B.O.W.
