ALL-DAY NURSERY SCHOOLS
Attention is drawn to an advertisement in this issue giving particulars of the opening of all-day nursery school centres at Taranaki Street and Petone as an extension of the work of the Wellington Free Kindergarten Association, undertaken at the request of the Education Department, additional costs being financed from the War Expenses Account. Tlie scheme is a wartime measure, introduced in order to meet the needs of young children between the age of two and a half and five years, whose mothers are required for work of national importance. The centres will be under a fully-quali-fied staff, and will provide a well-bal-anced daily programme for the children, including meals and sleep periods. Mothers are asked to communicate with the principal, Miss Enid Wilson, for all particulars of admission.
