Mr. Nash, in an address underf the title "The British Common-." wealth Faces the Future," said thalj the post-war world could not be made secure unless America was prepared to play her part fully. The trend o_J the future policy of the British Com* monwealth of Nations was fivefold:— 4 (DA stand four-square for the im« plementation of the Atlantic Charter and the four freedoms; (2) a desire toj see the United Nations' organisation! developed in the post-war world; (3)] it was not believed that such organisa* tion would be incompatible with the! British Commonwealth; (4) it was beJ lieved that security would be tha immediate prime point with such organisation; (5) it was believed that Britain and Russia should make are immediate post-war contribution byparticipation in collective security. Mr. Nash said that the United Nations' Legislatures should enact tha Atlantic Charter and the four free* doms as the corner-stones of theif foreign policies.
