PLANE PRODUCTION AT NEW U.S. PLANTS

WASHINGTON, February 16.

The chairman. Senator Truman, announced that the Senate War Investigating Committee will investigate the construction of planes at the newlybuilt' Ford Willow Run and Curtiss Wright aeroplane plants because "there is virtually no production at either plant."

The Ofiice of War Information reported that the Willow Run plant is operating on a small fraction of its ultimate potential, but that it might reach peak production within a year.
