PROPOSED BENEFITS FOR NURSES

(Rec. noon.) RUGBY, Feb. 15. Describing the Rushcliffe report on new conditions for nurses, Miss Florence Horsbrugh, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Health, said that the report proposed national scales of salaries for all hospitals, on similar lines to the Burnham scale for teachers. These scales meant an increase in salaries for the majority of hospital nurses, standard holidays with pay, sick pay, and medical attention. — 8.0. W.
