MEAT DELIVERIES
PARTIAL RESTORATION
The complete prohibition of the delivery of meat is to be modified, the North Island Transport Zoning Officer, Mr. H. M. Christie, stated today. There may not be a complete restoration of deliveries, but the War Cabinet had approved of a limited delivery of meat being made. Three deliveries a week are to be allowed from December to February, and two deliveries a week during the remaining months of the year. In the case of gazetted schemes these will have to be amended by the same means of notification before action is taken. The New Zealand Butchers' Association and the Oil Fuel Controller have been notified, and the alterations will be put through by the Zoning Officer as rapidly as possible.
