NAZI PROPAGANDA
COMING PEACE OFFENSIVE?
STOCKHOLM, February 5. Berlin's latest instructions to Ger-man-controlled newspapers in Norway are interpreted by Swedish observers as evidence of a coming Nazi peace offensive. The instructions state: "Stake everything on the Communist danger and appeal even to the Opposition." "Cease unbalanced attacks on England." "Stress the German setbacks and the dangerous nature of the situation, not making it appear that Germany is absolutely certain to win." Editors are reminded of ReichMarshal Goering's words that it is possible to negotiate with gentlemen but not with Bolsheviks. The instructions add: "Our entire propaganda must therefore be directed against our main Bolshevist enemy."
