WEST AFRICAN PORTS
AVAILABILITY TO ALLIES
(Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, Feb. 5. M. Boisson, Governor-General of French West Africa said in an interview at Algiers that the Allied navies are already using the port facilities at Dakar. All the ports and airfields in West Africa are open to the Allies, and several British vessels have made use of the docks at Dakar. He denied that the Germans had ever had Dakar. —8.0. W. LONDON, February 5. M. Boisson also stated that he had promised General Giraud 100,000 trained' Senegalese troops immediately and 200,000 more if European officers and equipment could be provided. "The unity of all Frenchmen is necessary to beat the Germans, and what is necessary to beat the Germans will be done," he said.
