PERSONAL NOTES
Miss Moya Hempton, Hobson Crescent, left last night for the South Island, where she will be the guest of Mrs. Robert Forbes, Cheviot. Mrs. A. McKinnon, Khandallah, is spending a holiday in Hawke's Bay, as the guest of Mrs. E. McKinnon, Wairoa.
Mr. and Mrs. George Wensley and their daughter, Miss Annette Wensley, who were the guests of Mrs. James Benning, Hataitai, have returned to Blenheim.
Mrs. Walter Wagstaff is visiting Auckland.
Miss Rosina Benson, Brooklyn, who has been visiting Wanganui, has returned to Wellington. One of a number of women granted temporary commissions as assistant section officers in the New Zealand Women's Auxiliary Air Force is Mrs. Grace Pamela Batterbee, daughter-in-law of Sir Harry Batterbee, Wellington, High Commissioner for Great Britain in New Zealand. Mrs. Batterbee joined the W.A;A.F. a year ago and entered the equipment branch.
