ARMY CRICKET MATCH

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 29. Military cricket teams representing Central (Wellington) and Northern (Auckland) districts commenced a two-day match. Central batted first and compiled 166 (J. R. Lamason 32, R. J. Couplaid 32. T. P. Reaney 30) G. L. Weir took four wickets for Northern for 36 runs. Northern replied with 191. W. M. Wallace playing a fine Innings for 65. Lamason took four wickets for 31 runs. Central scored two runs without loss In Its second innings.
