GAELIC CLUB CEILIDH

Mrs. Mac Vicar, president, welcomed the members and visitors at the recent ceilidh of the Wellington Gaelic Club. The programme included Gaelic and Hebridean songs, Highland, and oldtime dancing, and the supper was a special feature of the evening. Those who contributed songs to the programme were Mesdames MacKay, Gunn, Wilson, and Messrs. MacGougan and Maclvor. A display of Highland dancing was given by Miss Gracie MacKay. A presentation of books to the library was made by Mr. J. G. MacKenzie. Accompanists for the evening were Misses Moncrieff and M. MacLaine Smith, the latter also playing for dance music, together with Messrs. P. Ross and G. Gunn (violins), and N. MacLeod (bagpipes).
