Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report receiving a good entry of pigs and a capacity yarding of poultry. Pigs were a little easier in value but a total clearance was iriade at satisfactory rates. Table poultry was again in demand.. Prices were: — Pigs: Best weaners, 25s to 29s each; small, 16s to 225; slips, best 33s to £2, others 2Ss to Sle; heavy stores,- £2 to £2. 7s 6d; heavy porkers, £2 18s to £3 2s Cd; light porkers, £2 5s to £2 16s; baconers, £2 15s to £3.25; sow ahd litter, £3 17s 6d; boar, £3. Poultry: Heavy table liens, 5s 9d to 6s 9d each; medium, 3s Gd io 4s 3d; light, 2s to. 2s 6d; heavy cockerels, 6s* 3d to 6s 9d; medium, 3s to 4s 6<l; small, Is to 2s 6d; roosters. Is 3d to 2s Gd; ducks, 3s 9d to 7s; old, Is 9d to 3s; pullets, 6s to 9s 3d; geese, 3s 9d to 5s 9d. N.Z. AND RIVER PLATE. Cabled advice has been received by the local attorneys that at the annual general meeting of the N.Z. and River Plate Land Mortgage Co., Ltd., to be held In London on January 28, the directors will recommend a dividend of 4 per cent., less English income tax at 10s In the £ in respect of the year ended October 31, 1942. This will absorb £25,000. The sum of £5000 is being put to reserve, and £26,602 is being carried forward. The share register will be closed from January 20 to 2S. both days .inclusive.
