!(0.C.) AUCKLAND, This Day. . The death occurred yesterday at his residence in Papatoetoe of Mr. Henry Montague'Didsbury, a former officer of the New Zealand Insurance Company, of "which he was manager at Auckland for 10 years prior to his retirement in 1930. ■'■'..-'■
■She son of a former Government printer, Mr. Didsbury was born in Wellington ahd educated at Wellington College.1 He spent the whole of his business life in the service of the New Zealand Insurance Company, the Wellington branch of which he joined in 1885. He secured early promotion to New Plymouth, where he successfully opened a branch of the company, and then he was transferred to Perth," Western Australia, and thence to India. After two years, he returned to Australia, being placed in charge at Bendigo. Returning to New Zealand in 1912, Mr. Didsbury was successively manager at Napier, Dunedin, and Auckland. He is survived by his wife, a son, Mr. W. Didsbury, who was captured by the Japanese at Hong Kong, where he was stationed as an officer of the New Zealand Insurance Company, and four daughters.
