Mr. Leicester C. Webb, of the editorial staff of "The Press," has been appointed to take up an appointment at Wellington as Director of Publications under the Army education scheme. j Mr. W. Dick, traffic manager of the Christchurch Tramway Board, has re- ! tired after holding this position since [July. 1920. Mr. Dick was first employed as a conductor in May, 1905, when the Christchurch Tramway Board took over control of the trams from the old tramway company, and he was later promoted to motorman and inspector before .being appointed traffic manager. Mr. P. J. Kennedy will succeed Mr. Dick.
