AMERICA RATIONS CANNED GOODS
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) ...:;-, WASHINGTON, Dec. 27. 'The Food Administrator, Mr. C. R. ■Wickard, announced that nation-wide rationing of canned and dried fruits and vegetables would operate as soon as', the necessary machinery could be established. The scheme will give everyone a yearly average of 331b of these commodities during 1943 instead of the present average of 451b. Mr. Wickard said that increased military requirements made rationing nec.essary.
