LYCEUM CLUB CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS
The annual Christmas party of the Lyceum Club took place recently. In conveying the season's greetings to members and visitors, the president (Mrs. David Herbert), stressed the great need to keep alive in every way the traditional spirit of Christmas. It was a time for faith and hope for the restoration of peace and good will upon this sad earth. She also spoke with appreciation of the sterling work of members in the general war effort. The various circles of the club contributed towards a bright and varied programme, and original items were given by Mrs. J. C. Andersen, and vocal solos by Mesdames Conner and Herbert. A feature of the supper was a large Christmas cake, the gift of Mrs. E. M. Sample. _____^___ - _ iiiii __
