Vincent Ward, M.L.C., honorary secretary of the Wellington Provincial Metropolitan Patriotic Committee, yesterday. ''I desire again to mention that the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council requires for the year ending September 30 next no less than £22,000 for gift parcels. Of this sum half is the responsibility of the Wellington metropolitan area. May 1 suggest to citizens when they are buying Christmas presents for those at home they remember also our men and women of the fighting services overseas. Every three months unaddressed gift parcels are sent through the Patriotic Fund Board to them, and the fact that the parcels are unaddressed is an indication to our fighting men that New Zealand has not forgotten them. The parcels cost 10s each. Write a cheery note giving your name and address, pin a 10s note to it, and send it or deliver it to the hon. treasurer of the patriotic fund appeal at the Town Hall. If the contribution is from more/ than one person, give all the names and addresses; the note will be packed in a parcel. All donations will be acknowledged by an official receipt." ■ '
