ATLANTIC SKIES

R.A.F. IN ALMOST COMPLETE

CONTROL

(Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14. "The danger of the Focke-Wulf longrange bomber has been virtually eliminated," said Wing Commander, N. M. Russel, of the Coastal Command. "We now have almost complete control of the skies over the Atlantic.

.."The U-boats are becoming more wily, but despite this the Battle of the Atlantic is progressing very favourably. Our coastal fighter patrols are meeting with less opposition from enemy patrols."
