AUSTIN.—At Wellington, on December 12, 1942, Violet Evelyn, beloved second daughter of C. W. and A. E. Powell, of Paraparaumu Beach.

BERRY.—Accidentally drowned at Silverstream, on December 12, 1942, Ernest Edward, dearly-beloved son of Mr 3. Alice and the late David Berry, 4 Harper St., Nelson. (R.1.P.)

CHILD.—On December 12, 1942, at the Wellington Hospital, Elizabeth Annie Child, late of 44. Hall St.; aged 77 years. Interred at Karori Cemetery today.

DAVlES.—Accidentally drowned at Silverstream on December 12, 1942, John Edward, dearly-loved elder son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Davies, 55 Rugby St.; aged 14 years. (R.1.P.)

McLEOD.—On December 13. 1942, at his residence, 31 Bay St., Petone, Allen, dearly-loved husband of. Annie McLeod.

MARTIN.—On December 13, 1942, at a private hospital, Wellington, Esther, dearly-beloved wife of John Robertson Martin, 95 Te Anau Rd., Hataitai, and loving mother of Vera and Ken; in her 68th year. (Interred at Karori today.)
