SERVICE CLUB AT DAY'S BAY

The new East Harbour Club for members of the armed forces, in the Day's Bay pavilion, made available through the generosity of the Wellington City Council, will be formally opened by the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. Hislop, this evening at 8 o'clock. A servicemen's orchestral band will attend. The club will be open each weekend, Saturdays and Sundays, and offers swimming, tennis, and other sports facilities which should make it very popular.
