SIMPLIFIED SUITS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —Writing in reply to the Minister's statement that the simplified clothing scheme has been well received I wish to state it must have been well received by the minority. Will you please inform me what is the position regarding stocks in hand? Most of us are down to lengths from which there is no saving (not bolts). Are those stores that have supplies of ready-made suits made according to the old style to be allowed to sell their existing stocks, while we who only make up, have to lose orders from clients who also have their own material or who would choose from our lengths? Already I am only one who has lost several orders, as clients refuse to have the :new style. An early reply in your column wpl be appreciated.—l am, etc.,
