LONDON, November 12.
The following have been granted temporary commissions in the Rdyal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve: Sub-Lieutenants E. M. Wall, F. G. Barnes, D. P. Black, W. G. Smith, T. F. Southee, J. D. Todd, of. Wellington; J. A. A. Hay, of Nelson; E. H. Blair, of Waipukurau; D. C. Campbell, of Dunedin; F. A. Bishop, H. F. W. Bruorton, of Christchurch; F. A. Bamford, of Stratford; H. Mackinnon, of Auckland; W. A. Sheppard, of Hawera; A. T. Squire, of New Plymouth; also J. L. Gaelic, B. S. B. Heal, and B. P. Philpott, and a member of the Fleet Air Arm, D. F. Dillon, of Ashburton.
"Kowhai, London," is now the registered telegraphic address for the New Zealand Army Base Post Office in London. It may be used for all New Zealand servicemen in Britain.
The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr. W. J. Jordan) greeted the latest group of the Royal New Zealand Air Force to arrive in England after initial training in Canada. They included Pilot Officers T. F. Henderson, H. C. Barlow, N. H. Bawden, of Hastings; F. D. Matheson, A. D. Howlett, of New Plymouth; L. B. Stichbury, of Wellington: W. B. Philpott, of Palmerston North; and T." E. Neave, of Kurow.
