RUSSIAN CASUALTIES

Millions Die in Lost Lands

(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 12. The Russians have lost between 10,000,000 and 15,000,000 people in German-held territories—three times their losses at the front, says the Moscow correspondent of the "New York Herald Tribune." The deaths have been mostly those of women and children and were due to malnutrition and disease. According to conservative estimates at least one-third of the 'population in 64 German-controlled villages are dead. Only a miracle can avert famine.
