He addedc "I Would not have asked my country to linvite Britain to withdraw its rule , over India if I had not seen 'it necessary, for the sake of Britain and thf; Allied cause. By that supreme act <j,f justice, Britain could have tafeen at/ay all cause for India's seething' discointent. It would1 be worth all the batf{le/3hips and airships which your engineers and financial resources can produce*.
