COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS

The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) announced today that a conference will shortly be convened in Australia to be known as.the.Commonwealth Telegraph Conference, it will deal with many new communication problems that have arisen as a result of the war, and will be sponsored by the Governments of the United Kingdom. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Union of South Africa and Southern Rhodesia. Sir Campbell Stuart (the representative of the Government of the United Kingdom), who Will preside, has already left for Canberra. Mr. J. G. Young. Director-General of the Post and , Telegraph.- Department. T,yill be the New Zealand representative.
