WASHINGTON, October 30,

"We are still on Guadalcanal, occupying every inch we ever controlled," said tfc|j Secretary of the Navy, Colonel Frank Knox, to the Press. "The first round is over, and Aye are waiting for the second round to begin. "At present there is no active operation on the surface near the Solomons."
