VISIT TO DOVER

LONDON, October 23,

General Smuts, went to Dover today with Mr. Churchill to have a look at Britain's front-line town. He spoke to some of the civil defence workers, and said: "I thought Dover had disappeared in the blit£, but now I come here and I find your men and women smiling and happy, still alive, and Dover still standing." He added: "There will always be a Dover."
