FRESH JAP LANDING

Reported In Solomons

LONDON, October 23, A fresh Japanese landing in the Solomons is ' indicated from Washington.

A Navy Department communique issued tonight says that I American dive-bombers have bombed Japanese positions on ' Bussell Island, about 30 miles north-west of Guadalcanal.

A Navy Department spokesman explained that although this landing was probably not new it has only just been revealed. Japanese forces, generally ,in minor strength, were utilising many islands in this area.
