LOCAL AND VISITING W.D V F.U. MEMBERS

The members' room at Dominion headquarters of the Women's Division Farmers' Union was gay with beautiful flowers when members of the Dominion Advisory Board were "at home" on Thursday afternoon to local branches and visiting members in Wellington. Tlie guests were received by Mrs. W. Orr (Balfour), acting Dominion president, and with her were Mrs. A. G. Stevenson (Lower Hutt), provincial president Wellington "executive, and Mrs; P. Jordan, president of the Wellington branch. Members of the Advisory Board who' attended were Mesdames H. McLeavey (Ohau), W. Elliott (Otago), N. Macintosh (Invercargill), W Lane ,(Kaeo), John Joll (Hastings), M. Lamplough (Stratford), J. R. Haldane (Nelson), B. E. Evans (Timaru). Very great pleasure was expressed by Mrs. Orr in having present one of the foundation-members of the division, Mrs. E. Lilburn, of Wanganui, and a warm welcome was also extended to Miss Poison (Wanganui), and Mrs. Pooley (Raglan). _>. / A talk was given by Mrs. F. H. Whatley, president of the Utilisation >of Waste Products Depot, and the musical programme was contributed to by Mesdames Duncan, Eastwood and CaverMrs. Elliott (Dominion vice-president) thanked all who assisted in making the x function a marked success, ana expressed appreciation of the opportunity provided for visiting officials to meet socially town members and exchange points of view:
