NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Wednesday, the 14th October, 1942, the following resolution was passed Tiz:— That the Wellington City Council In pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and their respective amendments, and in pursuance cf an Order-in-Council dated the 22nd day of July, 1942, published in the New Zealand Gazette Number 74 of the (ith day of August, 1942, at page 1988, as varied by a further Order-in-Council dated the 7th day of October, 1942, published in the New Zealand Gazette Kumber 91 of the Sth day of October, 1942, at page 2459, and in pursuance and In exercise of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follows:— 1. That a Special Loan of Two hundred and ninety-four thousand pounds (£294,000) to be known as the Wellington City Antecedent Liability Loan 1923 Renewal Loan 1943, be raised in New Zealand by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of repay ins to the extent that sinking funds are not available the Loan of Three hundred and forty thousand pounds (£340,000) known as the Wellington City Antecedent Liability Loan 1923 raised in London In 1923 and repayable on the 31st day of March, 1943. 2. That the rate of interest on the said Loan Bhall be three pounds five shillings (£3 ss) per centum per annum payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and the 31st day of March in each year during the currency of the said Special Loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years from the 31st day of March. 1943. 3. That a Kinking Fund be established in connection with the said Loan by setting apart annually during (he, first fourteen years of the currency of the Loan a sum of Twentyfive thousand and seventy-seven pounds (£25,077) and during the last year of the currency of the Loan a sum of Twenty-five thousand and sixty-two pounds ten shillings (£25,062 10s) for Ihe purpose of providing funds for the payment of debentures to be Issued and for tlie payment of interest on all sums owing from time to time on the ?ald debentiVes so issued and that the Council shall annually pay to the Sinking Fund Commissioners as a contribution during the first fourteen (1J) years of the currency of the Loan the said sum of Twenty-five thousand and sevenly-scveu. pounds (£23,077) and during the .last year of the currency of the Loan the said sum of Twenty-five thousand and sixtytwo pounds ten -shillings (£2.j,062 10s), each of the said sums being reduced by a sum equal to the amount of interest payable during each .year ending on fhe 31st day of March during the currency.of the said Loan in respect, of all debentures issued in respect of the said Loan. * 4. That, the security for the interest, sinking fund, and other charges and repayment of the Said Special Loan be a .special rate" of Two hundred and ninety-six eight liundredfhs of a penny (296-800 d) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington. 5. That the payments of principal and Interest shall be made in New Zealand and that no payments of principal or Interest shall be paid *out of Loan moneys.
